Join us at the outdoor stage at Creative Workers Rising: A Resource Fair for Eaton Fire Impacted Creatives where we're inviting Altadena artists dig through their living archives and perform a poem, song, monologue, comedy, hip-hop, spoken word, or original performance.
When the wildfires ripped through LA, artists lost our entire creative lives, livelihoods, and practices. From creative tools on which we created our first and last masterpieces; to entire archives that demonstrated the breath of our creative careers. Yet, for performers, our bodies carry their own memories -- artistic libraries that live within us, despite the physical evidence being gone. We invite you to come out and share a piece from your archive. Sign up for the open to mic and introduce yourself to the creative community by performing your favorite artistic throwbacks at Home Microphone, your creative-home-away-from-home in Altadena.
